I'm looking for the best backblade I can find. So far I want it to be 6 feet long and weigh at around 400 lbs with most of that weight over the blade. It needs to be reversible as well as having tilt, angle, pivoting offset, and be punched for end plates. So far I've only found one blade that has these qualities - the Landpride RB3572. But before I plunk down some nine hundred bucks+tax for a blade.....what does the competition look like?

Try a Hardee-Williams ABH72. It's the exact same blade as the Landpride RB3572. I bought a ABH84, about a years ago for $650. ....

OK, I've been looking around on the web, and here is what I've found so far. Some of it is guesswork; and I'm no closer to a decison.
So far the Bushhog 70, the Landpride RB3572, and the Gill (Woods) HBL72 look to be very close to the same piece of equipment. They are rated differently, and the reported weight varies rather more than one would expect from pieces of equipment which clearly use a lot of common parts.
A lighter-duty series of blades having similar features appears to be the Bushhog 60, Woods RB700, the Rhino 500, and the older Servis-Rhino LR series....all of which look very similar.
Clearly there is a lot of cross-pollination in the back blade designs. But as for who has done what and to whom.... well, its a mystery to me.
The Servis company claims that these swinging offset rear blades derive from their "Big and Little Rhino Blades" which they invented after WWII. That was many corporate buy-outs ago.
I do know from experience that blades which look the same often work very differently. Subtle changes in weight distribution and blade curvature have large effects. Finding the "perfect blade" for my soil has been a sort of quest for me through the years. We've tried (bought and resold)a number of blades.
I cannot find any Hardee-Williams equipment on the web, though I did find an old picture that looks remarkably like the Landpride. I wonder if the Hardee-Williams line of equipment is still made, or re-badged, or whatever? The company was sold last spring. Roger

Roger, I'm not sure what is going on with their website right now, but Monroe-Tufline seems to have a good reputation. Their GB1-72 6' blade is 403 lbs, has a 17" high moldboard, offset, tilt, angle, and park stand comes standard. Skid shoes are optional. I'm not sure about the end plates. I requested information from the company awhile back and they came back with an email and some printed information right away. One note about the Woods RBx00 blades too - I think Woods may have discontinued that product line. ....

Roger, we use various blades (snow, dirt, land scrapers & dozers) made here in Canada by a company called Leon's, they are not very well known in the US. Their website is "www.leonsmfg.com", they make (as an example) 7' rear blades as heavy as 979 lbs., and 8 footers to 1708 lbs, they also make 'normal' stuff. They are serious implements, more than capable of anything you are willing to throw at them. If I sound like a commercial it's only because I am impressed at their quality. I think they are VERY reasonably priced considering how well made they are, considering a US dollar is about $1.52 Canadian, I'm sure you'll agree. Best of luck. ....

Roger, as with all people looking to buy equipment I wish you luck. There are many good blades out there, Murf brought up the Leon blade which of coarse is built sturdy. We have had good luck with the Rhino's and they do offer all of the features you are requesting. There blade is 5/16 thick which does put the weight on the cutting edge which is a plus for digging. One of the differences I would look at is the fit to the tractor and how easy it is to make the adjustments you need. ....
