I'm interested in getting a Kelley B'Hoe for my JD4100. I had their website, but I can't seem to access it anymore. Does anyone know where their website is now? Any dealers out there?

Not long ago somebody here said they couldn't access the Kelley site and that the company was having trouble with the site. I can't remember if a telephone number was in the posts, but you might check the archives. I got my B600 through my NH dealer. Most dealers probably can order Kelley hoes and obtain technical information, or they might suggest alternatives. I didn't ask the dealer to order the BH, the dealer identified the hoe as a good match for what I needed. The dealer also provided delivery, mounting and operating advice. At any rate, there's a good chance the Kelley site provides product and marketing information rather than direct sales or dealer information anyway. Anyway, I think my dealer has delivered pretty good value for money in my purchases. I’ve received much worse value from manufacturer direct sales and support--800 help lines, web FAQ's, fax-back documents etc. UUUUGARAHHH!! In fact, I'm a little reluctant to support manufacturers who don't market their products through dealer networks or who undercut their own dealers by providing direct sales. I haven't found the responses from the 800 help line people at all satisfying, and I want a dealer on the other end of the phone when I've got a problem. I’ll buy through dealers so they are there when I need to talk to them. My dealer also may be better at picking out what I need than I am. Hope Art, Steve and others are smiling. ....

I just purchased a Kelley backhoe for my JD 855. I like it real well. I have tried to get their web site also, it is not responding and has not for quite some time now. Unfornunately they do not have an 800 number (bummer) this is their regular phone number----219-255-4746. Hope this helps, if anyone gets their web site to respond, please post it here. I talked with them about two weeks ago and none of the people I conversed with knew anything about the web site being down. ....

Hi there, I am hoping someone can help me out there. I have acquired a Kelley 3 point backhoe attachment in an auction. It has no hours on it but I know it is about 15 years old becuase a pal worked at the place it was auctioned from and said they bought it, used it once and put it in storage. It measures 10 feet from the hook up area to the bucket and has two buckets. Unfortunately, It does not fit my skid steer way too big. Can anyone tell me what model it could be and how much I should ask for it when advertizing. email is I have no photo's at this but will get some soon.
Thanks ....

If the web site doesn't work, a phone number for the company in my manual is 219-255-9724.

When I got my hoe about 4 years ago I had ordered a B60 but received a B600. The models changed over just when the hoe was ordered. The older models were B60 and B70 for CAT I 3ph's and I'm guessing B80 and maybe larger for CAT II tractors. B851 was a current model for CAT II tractors. The numbers generally refer to the max depth at 2' bottoms (60 or 600 equaling a 6' hoe).

From the description, the hoe may predate the B60 etc. series. A call to the company should ID the hoe. Before calling I would look for any model or serial # info on the hoe and note if it has CAT I or II mounts. Measuring the lengths of the boom and stick arms might help.

All 3ph hoes should have a mounting system that stabilizes the hoe and locks down the 3ph. Unless the Kelly mounting system was changed for newer models, there is a plate that U-bolts the drawbar and has mounts for two top-links that run to the hoe frame. If the mounting system with the hoe isn't complete the parts should be obtained. It's very dangerous to operate a 3ph hoe that's not locked down. If the 3ph gets bumped into lift with somebody in the hoe seat, they get smashed between the hoe console and the ROPS.
