I am going over the final specs for my new barn. I picked up some literature from the supplier pertaining to the finishes on the Fabral industrial steel. The standard used by my contractor is Super Alurite 2000. The Super 2000 plus will cost 16 cents a foot more, which I opted for. The 2000 Ultra is available as well and boasts Kynar paint. Has anybody heard of a significant difference between these two finishes? My contractor states that MOST people go with the middle grade. I have already gone one step better and gained higher quality paint as well as 1.2 oz galvanizing as opposed to G90. I know That Kynar is one finish that Morton uses.

cutter - mortonbuildings.com has a U.S. map showing acid rain levels, if you think that is a sales gimmick I don't blame you, If you are in the highest area you might opt for the best you can get. Especially on roof/sunny side, when in doubt go "white" I have seen 10 year old red turn pink. ....

Thank you Steve. I just received a letter back from the maunfacturer stating the "plus" is the best finish available and has a 25 year warranty against fade. ....

Cutter, while paint is generally NOT in my area of expertise, I can offer the following advice..... Do NOT paint it Kubota Orange, form what I have paid over the years I figure that it must cost about $10,000 a gallon, LOL. As always, best of luck. ....

Murf, You're crazy! The orange is the least expensive, my experience has shown Deere green to be a more expensive finish (: ... thanks for the advise. ....
