I hope a dealer or owner can answer a few questions about the Woods Model 9000 backhoe. I have to replace my existing Cub Cadet Model 408 (Woods Model 70) backhoe, mounted on a Cub Cadet 7275 tractor. There are several factors influencing my decision, in particular, the need for more bucket force and a longer reach. I am wondering if the Woods 9000 will bolt directly to the sub-frame kit that supports the 408 hoe. Is the hole pattern the same? Is the distance between the rails the same? I probably would buy the 9000 if everything matched. I have seen too many damaged machines and injured operators to even consider a 3PT setup. Although this is a larger unit than the 408, I've been operating backhoes long enough to keep both the machine and myself out of trouble. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Ted,

The Woods BH9000 is too large for th Cub Cadet 7275 model tractor. Woods does not produce any subframes for this application. The BH7500 subframe is only compatible with the Woods BH7500 and BH6500 and will not match the BH9000.

No matter how experienced you are with a backhoe, the BH9000 is simply too heavy and too powerful for the Cub 7275. Even if you were to find a way to mount the BH9000 on the Cub 7275 you would void your tractor warranty and risk serious injury to yourself and potential damage to the tractor frame.

Thank you for interest in Woods. We appreciate your business and would like to earn more of your business, but not at the risk of safety. If you have any more questions please email me directly at: paulh@woodsonline.com
