This area of jPlan seems to have dozed off !!! Winter is approaching, is everyone ready to get their articulated tractors out and show the world what they can do in the snow? I had fun with my Ventrac 3000 last year and am looking forward to enjoying watching everyone else load up with weights & chains while I push on with just my bar tires. Stan

Stan, the VENTRAC R&D department hasn't "dozed off". I just tested their new TOUGH CUT 68" mower. I mowed grass, weeds, briars and saplings some of which were higher than the tractor roll bar. It was amazing! I couldn't believe how little horsepower it required. I also used their new stump grinder to remove 3 stumps from a friend's yard. The 31 hp VENTRAC 4000 made them history in a hurry.

A couple weeks ago I used their new 54" bi-directional power rake. It even worked nicely through a driveway area that had gravel in it.

I guess we'll wait until the first snow to attach the dozer blade. You're right! No additional weights or chains are needed. ....

For G in Ohio,
Are all of the new attachments on the website yet so we can see them or do I need to visit my favorite dealer? I am real interested in the stump grinder. What other attachments are in the works besides the one you mentioned?
....

Ricky and BobA, the VENTRAC "TOUGH-CUT" mowers and stump grinders are scheduled for January production. A few pre-production units are available sooner. Go to the venturepro.com web page and request information on attachments that are not featured yet. You may also inquiry about or suggest attachments that you would like Venture to offer. Presently a sickle bar mower is being tested. If the results are right it will be available in late spring. If VENTRAC's R&D department doesn't "doze off" there will be a lot more available in the spring! ....

To G in Ohio: I know the the Steiner brothers aren't dozing because I've been to the plant and seen the operation, impressive. I was curious to know if they got the larger building they were looking at. It had been a while since anyone had posted here and just wanted to make sure to liven things up (hee, hee). Stan ....

The steiner owners are not sleeping ether. With as much rain and moisture we have had to mow everything almost twice a week. We have a stump grinder for our steiners now. We bought it used. Works like 2000 beavers on the end of a stick. It takes awhile to get used to. Does ventrac have a mirror on the stump grinder so you can see what your grinding? The steiner rough cut mower works very well also. It will require atleast 4 weights on the rear cause I beleive it weighs over 500lbs. The steiner 410 just came out with 20hp in the homeowner tractor. I think this tractor with a 5' deck and weight bar is around $11,000.00 list, not bad for 4x4 with 60" up front mower. Our dealer also says that the 525 got a bigger horse under the hood[28hp kubota]. He says that it is a big difference in power then from before. Also the 430 got a new hand control that is much easier to use. Still looking for used steiner equipment in any kind of shape. ....
