I need your help. I have a fender mounted tractor radio on my JD 4600. It is located on the left fender behind the tool box. If the tractor is parked the radio reception is adequate. However, when the tractor is moving the reception is poor. The antenna is attached to the radio housing. Is the steel rops causing the problem? If so, where can I mount an antenna? There is no greater life experience than mowing on a compact tractor with Springsteen (the Boss) in the headphones.

Are you saying the reception is good when the tractor is parked and not running or parked and idling. Is this radio made for a vehicle? It may not be shielded properly from interference although there is no spark on a diesel like a gas engine. Need more info. ....
