There seems to be 3 different items that need to be adjusted when it comes to adjusting a clutch on this kind of tractor.

My first tractor ever. I got it last year and started using it this year. Now the clutch seems to be slipping after I used it to pull some trees and then started using the bush hog.

There are 3 items involved:
1. The spring the brings the pedal back to rest
2. The throw out bearing and where it should be when not in use
3. The clutch pressure plate / disc.

I think I got #1 & 2 figured out. Today, it wasn't raining and I was able to remove the cover located at the bottom of the bellhousing. I can see one of the fingers that needs to be adjusted. There is a screw or bolt with a lock or jam nut.

I'm not sure how to adjust the pressure plate/ disc or if I need any special tools or not?

Thanks,

On a basic tractor like that there likely isn’t any adjustment other than the pedal linkage.

Because of the weight and affordable price on those units they were favourites of newbies and homeowners, especially for things like bush-hogging and snow blowing, two things that are hard on clutches with an inexperienced hand at the controls.

Best of luck. ....
