I need to replace or repair the hood on my 2000 TC35D. It was somewhat 'compromised' when I bought it about 12 yrs ago. I think there was a tree incident that kinda tweaked it. Over the years it kept getting more and more difficult to open and close. Recently the bolts that were embedded in the fiberglass connecting the hood to the hinge arms and pistons that hold it open started coming completely out so I had to remove the hood. I have been looking for some time for a used replacement but haven't been able to find one. I have been wondering if it would be possible to put on a pair of external hinges but I don't think that would work because of the curvature of the hood and cowling - I think they would probably bind and work against each other.
So, that being said, I am wondering 1.) if anyone knows where there might be a used hood available; 2.) what are your thoughts about the hinge idea; 3.) any other suggestions?

I have a tc21 hood but I don't think it will work why don't you try a repair epoxy the bolts in place that hold it on then do some fiberglass matting and resin ,I'll be you could make it look just fine, don't be afraid to give it a shot ....

Yes I know it takes time but you can handle it just do a little bit at a time and you will make it look like the original one ,then post us a pic of the before and after ....
