I have been using a Rhino rotary cutter on my Case IH 30c tractor for 5 years. I had used it for about an hour this summer and it suddenly stalled the tractor when the Rhino bound up. There was nothing under the cutter to cause that, but the blades were overlapped. I thought replacing the blades would take care of the problem, but when I started the PTO again the same thing happened.
Any ideas? Would replacing the stump jumper pan solve this problem?

So you replaced the blades, while doing so did you check to see how the gear box turned and even the pto shaft? I suspect one and most likely the gear box is the problem. Gets hot and locks up. Have you checked the oil in the gear box and greased the pto shaft? If the gearbox was real low on oil the bottom seal may be leaking rather badly so not taking long to still heat up.
