Can anyone tell me what psi radiator cap an e224 is supposed to have? My father inlaws tractor currently has a 3 psi cap on it. That seems pretty low pressure to me. Its been warm for him the last couple summers. I replaced the water pump and thermostat last summer and that helped. It runs warm but doesnt quite overheat. However after you shut ot off, it boils out the overflow after a couple minutes. Radiator seemed clean last time i looked at it, but im going to check that out again next time as well. Anyway, correct cap psi would be nice to know. Tractor is 200 miles away from me and next time i go up there i want to have a new radiator cap with me.

On my little Massey, it has a screen in front of the radiator.
I have to pull the screen and wash the dust out of radiator and screen.
Then runs cool until dust builds up again.
You can take a 1/4 to 3/8 copper tube and fit it to a garden hose. May take some head scratching.
Crimp the end and put a 1/16 hole in the side right at the end.
then you can use it to flush out where the air flows. just be gentle. I put a pencil eraser on the end incase it bumps the radiator. ....

I blew the radiator out pretty good a while back when i had tractor in my shop to replace the bellhousing. Its definitely something i need to checkout again as well. But itnseems to run hot even with the radiator being clean of debris. I do need to get an infrared thermometer and check for cool spots on radiator as well.
The question still stands though, is a 3 psi cap to low? ....

I have an e322, the same as yours only two wheel drive. Mine would run great (no overheat) doing all kinds of chores EXCEPT bush hogging. The radiator looked clean on top and water seemed to be passing through. Changed cap, thermostat, belt did parts changing until the only thing left was the radiator or block rust. Took radiator off and had rodded. The shop told me they had to rod three times because it was so clogged. My tractor now runs great. Stays at 180 no matter how long I run or what I do with it. The really good part was the radiator rodding only cost me $80.00. ....
