I have a MF471 4WD with factory FEL. The lights are intermittent. Some days they work, some days they don't for no apparent reason. When they are not working, none of them work except the hazard lights and turn signals. I don't think it is a ground problem since some of the lights work all the time. I wonder if it might be an ignition switch problem, but don't know if the hazard and turn lights are on a different terminal from the rest. I have inspected the wiring, and don't see any obvious problems.

It could still be a ground issue.
I would turn on the lights when not working and check with a multi-meter the connection plugs.
go from the power side to a good ground, see if has 12 volts. Then use ohm meter setting, go from ground side to a good ground. See if has continuity.
if good continuity to physical ground, check the ground (where you were testing) to battery ground.
Also, it could be that the running lights are on a different fuse and that is blown.
If that is the case check for a short before putting in a new fuse.

OK - good suggestions. I don't think it is a fuse, since the lights come back on intermittently.

I would think the light switch or loose connection in the fuse holder or any wire end in that circuit. kt ....

Silly question, but do they stay on if you are not moving? or do they only blink while the tractor is in motion; which lights are they sealed beam or bulb? ....
