My 1554 cub cadet battery quit charging where do I start
27 hp Kohler command engine

1)How old is battery?
2) check loose corroded terminals
3) Check acid level add distilled water to correct level
4) Check with battery specific gravity tester if has fill caps
5) If fails 3 replace battery ....

Yes it will start and run with a charged battery (I charged the battery with a charger). It quits when the battery runs down. ....

A simple test to see if the problem is the alternator is to check across the battery terminals for DC voltage.

Also check fuses. ....
