Does anyone have or know of a good set of rear rims for a 284 internation I could buy. I'm told by my local case/IH dealer the ones I have are W8x24 origanal rims. I'm running 11.2/10-24 ag tires on them. The prior owner of this tractor ran calcium chloride in the tires and it has destroyed the rims. I will also need some wheel weights for the same tractor as I'm not going back to liquid filled tires.

Used rims are pretty scarce in any size. If you have the size I'd look into new rims, I've bought them on occasion to replace damaged ones, they usually run about $200 -$250 a rim.

Best of luck. ....

Are they not where they can be repaired? You are not talking a high speed rim that needs to be balanced. The scrap metal market has gotten much of what you might be trying to find in used. ....

Thanks to all who have responded. I've now given up being able to find a good set of used rims and no one has new rims to fit this tractor. Tried many places on and off line. The only way to get new rims would be to buy blanks and cut out the old mounging Z-bars and weld them onto the new blacks. All the welders in my area say this is not the best way to go as it is almost impossible for them to get the mounts welded on so the wheel doesn't wobble. I found a welder who say he can repair the old rims by cutting out the damaged section and welding in new steel. I've decided to let him do it. Hope it works. Again thanks to all for replys. ....

A week ago was having new tires installed on my pickup. The dealer told me he has car tires repaired including the high price models. It only makes sense if they can repair a rim that runs the speed with the shock loads and balance auto rims does a tractor rim should be able if they person knows what they are doing. I would relax. ....
