On my Kobelco SK 015 excavator----The charging light goes off & on---I have checked ( with a 100 amp. battery load & charging system tester ) when the light was on-----the tester shows the system is charging--
Also the fuel water filter light stays on all the time.
Question---could the ignition switch be hooked up wrong causing this problem. I believe the man I bought it from installed a new switch connecting the red to the black terminal & black to red----that's the way I found it when I replaced a new switch---so that's the way I installed a new one.
Any thoughts on this appreciated.

Could there be a bad ground there? You are sure there is no problem with the water in the fuel and that system right? ....

Well KT----when I bought this machine I asked the owner bout the water light---'He said that damn light
thing is always on'---so I have never fooled with it---though I have dumped the filter bowel---I have never changed the filter--Think I must do that soon.
THANKS KT ....

I still would look at wiring connects and be sure the grounds are good. One may be trying to feed back through the other (those idiot lights). ....
