Yes, I just purchased a 2003 New Holland tractor without a owners / operating manual. The tractor is in great shape but wanted to check everything out. I've changed the engine and hydraulic oils and filters. My question is, there's a switch on the dash left of the steering wheel that I'm not sure the function of it. I've switched it on / off but nothing happens. Could someone please tell me the function of this switch or refer me to someone that could help me.
Thanks,
Dewayne

My cruise control switch is there. If you push the top it turns it on and pushing the bottom turns it off. Touching the brakes will turn it off also. It works by turning on a electromagnet that grabs a plate that locks the hydro foot control in place. I have heard of some people that have disconnected the brake switch which enables them to set the cruise AND use the individual brakes at the same time. I have not seen the need for me to go that route yet. Good luck with your new buy. ....

The thing with the cutting brakes is if both are mechanically locked together, then yes, touching the brake will defeat the cruise. But if don't connect the brakes together the right brake will work and still allow cruise to stay on; its the left brake only that has the switch. ....
