I just acquired a 1990 820 MFD. It has a front end loader and the engine seems to run extremely well, but I cannot get the 3-point hitch to raise or lower.

This could be due to my own ignorance. The only control I've found for the 3-point seems to be the position control. I have two hydraulic levers (right side of console), but these operate the FEL. The FEL operates very well and is fast to raise, even with a full load of dirt. The tractor has rear remotes, which the previous owner demonstrated to be working very well (to raise an lower a 16-foot bush hog).

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You bought a major tractor on which everything was demonstrated but the 3-pt? No documentation, manuals, or sources for parts or information? If you can't ask the seller, try a web search for these.

(Usually "remotes" refer to auxiliary hydraulic outlets, often at the rear. Not sure how they were used to raise a massive mower.)

Wish I could help. Let's hope you didn't find the right control, or for some reason the hitch stop-valve was closed, or another owner has the answer.

The owners manual has a bunch of information that is handy including how to operate it and the regular mantain operations, oil, grease, valves etc. You can order a book from Mark at 641.710.2289. Then ask him your question and he will tell you how it is done. This is a parts guy that has done a lot of Belarus work. So order you parts from him, and he helps you with stuff when you need it. A good buddy to have. ....
