My 4630 won't crank. I cleaned all the conections and grounds.I had changed the oil and filter, started it up and primed the oil system, turned it off and rechecked the oil. I would not turn over again. I checked all the connections at the starter solinoid and was getting 12+ volt readings. When I turn the key the gauge needles move but will not rattle or turnover. What could be wrong?

Often a misbehaving safety cutout, like under the seat or clutch pedal. Could be the starter/solenoid. Test for which by jumping (shorting) the starter terminals, best done with a remote starter (one clip to battery +ve, other to starter terminal, button switch in the middle). ....

If you are getting no response, it is most likely a problem with neutral start switch. Quad Range transmission has one on right side of transmission case. The powershift is also on right side of the case, but it is actually on the transmission control valve and not the transmission case itself. The powershift probably also has a small round cover over it to protect it. Sometimes on either one, if you wiggle the gearshift in and out of neutral, while you hold the key in crank position, you might get get it to start that way until you get a chance to replace it. ....

Thanks, I will try those fixes. I did find a small crack on the starter solinoid, I orderd a new one. It was back-ordered and I did not mark all the terminals, I thought it would be a quick trip to town. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the solinoid? It is a Nipoonso starte (not jd). Thank you all for the help! ....
