I have a ty 290 20 hp. and have read here on the forum to change oil on the fuel pump.I see a plug on the bottom side which i guess is the drain plug. But where do you put the oil in ,is it on the governor end of the pump and if so how much do I put in? Thanks

There should be a mushroom shaped device on top, it's the vent/fill plug. Some models have a tiny dipstick. Absent a dipstick, others have a 2nd plug on the side. Remove vent/fill plug and bottom drain plug. Drain, replace bottom plug. Remove side plug. Pour in lube oil till it comes out the side. Stop pouring, replace side plug, replace vent/fill plug.

I use ISO100 compressor oil (30W). Assuming you use 15W40 engine oil, that's fine too.

Creeper is actually the hard one to find. It's forward of the transfer case, sorta hidden by the drive shaft housing. Then there's a transfer case drain. Behind it should be a tranny drain. If not, then the tranny will drain through the rear diff. Some had one diff drain, some had two. They just look like hex head bolts, that might be part of the problem

Drain plug for the hydraulic sump should be at the rear, above and to the left of the PTO output shaft I think. Look for one hex head that seems out of place compared to the others.

Just curious, how much oil roughly should the injector pump hold? When I drain mine I'd like to know how close it was to being full. I am thinking the capacity to be about a cup or so. Is that close?

Also I have looked all over my water pump for a grease fitting but one as yet cannot be found. I heard somewhere that some Y385's were built w/o one though it does show one on the print in my manual...... ....

Some water pumps had them, some didn't. The ones that do require a special lube gun to lube them, so that you don't over-pressure the lube and blow the seal in the pump. ....
