Anyone know of the fix for no steering on a 1994 LB1914 4x4 the steering wheel free spins and the front wheels barely turn and then when you do get them to turn they will return to the nuetral position. JT

I have a lb2204 and just ran into the exact same problem. posted on tractorbynet but not much help there yet. did find a post about a yanmar tractor having similar problem and the parts diagram for the yanmar looks just like my kioti. do you have a hyd cyl linking onto the steering arm? i have one but couldnt find it anywhere in my parts manual either under steering or hydralics. good luck. i dont think this will be an easy fix ....

Sounds like the steering rotary valve is either worn out or the torque rod inside has broken. I had one for a smallish backhoe only rebuilt (no parts were broken) ten years ago and it was over $700.

You might luckout by contacting supluscenter.com and matching one they sell for about $250.

I took mine apart and was surprised how simple they are inside. I would start there and see if anything is bad. Either way, I'd have it tested at a qualified hydraulics shop not necessarily a dealer whop might not the right equipment or try to sell you a new one. ....

Hey thanks for the info. It turned out to be broken inner seals in the hydraulic steering tube and the debris went into the rotory valve. MidWest Hydraulics im Mo had a new rotory valve for $265.00 and I found some seals at a local hydraulics business. the Dealer wanted $922.00 for the rotary valve. I fixed for $265.00 plus my time. JT ....
