Hello all,
Was wondering if anyone has used the agricredit online auction site to purchase a tractor. I believe most the tractors are all reposessed tractors, many are pretty new with very few hours. Im just a little weary buying something out of state or a few hundred miles away that I havent seen in person. Althought the prices are significantly cheaper than buying a new tractor from a dealership. I am in the market for approximately a 30 HP tractor with front loader and box scraper. Below is the website for agricredit. Thank you for your comments and oppinions...

Probably could have gotten answers to some of this but I did not look at the web site.
Who owns the tractors? Is there a dependable inspection report on each machine? If the owner is stable and can be depended on (to me that means a company who is honest and stable) and there is an inspection that can be trusted you should be safe. BUT, sure rather touch and see anything for myself even though I have bought this way and had good success. ....

kthompson,
thanks for your reply, im not sure yet on your questions, I will find out. all I know is this auction company "agricredit" deals with dealers who have re-posessed trailers from owners who apparently didnt make the payments I guess? But I was just wondering if anyone had dealt with agricredit themselves.
I see your a believer, praise God!!!! me too, pretty active in outreach ministry, love the Lord!!!! Take care and blessings to you... ....

Enjoyed your last sentence very much and agree.
I looked at the web site and the best I can tell agricredit does NOT OWN the equipment nor is there an independent review or inspection of the equipment. Based upon this info, probably safer than eBay but would still only bid on something I could inspect. There is a good bit about agricredit on the web. If your local economy is as here you may find good local used options. If you go to eBay or craigslist know there are crooks on those from time to time on about what you are wanting. Do not send anyone money when you have not seen the tractor. Especially for say a 30 hp tractor with front end loader for under $5,000 or so. Have a great weekend.

Still shop with dealerships. I found prices for used varied a good bit. A drive of 80 miles was worth about 25%. ....
