Norm, I didn't get mine from Northern, but I do have a 5' Howse box blade. I used to have a 4' Monroe Tufline that I used behind a B7100, but when I traded up to a B2710, I wanted a wider blade. I certainly do not think the Howse is the same quality as the Tufline, but I'm quite happy with it. I'm pretty confident it's plenty strong enough for a 27hp tractor. In fact, I've hung it on some stumps, and hung the scarifiers on some roots, that were tough enough to stop the tractor and just spin the wheels, but no problem with the blade. I've been using it since last August. ....
