I am trying to decide between the two tractors. The price and HST on the Kioti makes it very attractive. I always wanted a New Holland. The T2310 has the shuttle shift, same HP ratings as the Kioti and comparable amenities. Both have good dealerships within 35 miles of my farm so service is not a real issue. Financing terms are about the same, but the Kioti has a lower base price thus lower monthly payments. Appreciate your input.

JayBob,

Please read through our discussion boards pertaining to the New Holland tractors. Use the search engine in the upper right corner of the home page. You'll find hundreds of complaints dealing with electrical gremlins in the New Holland line-up.

These electrical problems are not isolated to a particular model number, either. It seems that New Holland uses a very complex (ridiculously complex) electrical system in their tractors. It's packed plum full of a whole lot of stuff that doesn't seem to work.

If it were up to me, I'd shy away from the New Holland. I can't say that I'd go with the Kioti, either, but there are a lot of Kioti owners, and very few complaints from any of them.

Please do some searching and reading on these discussion boards, before making a decision.

I hope that helps.

Joel ....

Joel

Thanks for the info. I have been reading the discussion boards on the New Hollands and did have some concerns about the electrical. That's one of the reasons why I started looking at alternative brands and have come to learn that most sub compact tractors are being produced in South Korea including the Mahindra Model 4110 (a serious contender). I like the ergonomics of the Kioti versus the Mahindra and the Kubota L4400. I don't see a lot of complaints about Kubota, Mahindra or Kioti versus many issues with New Holland and John Deere.

Thanks for responding.
