I have a belarus 525 and i am having a problem with the starter. I have two batteries and both are showing about 12.7 volts. The starter is getting 12 volts and sounds like it is dragging and barely turns it over. Is the starter suppose to have 12 or 24 volts?

Scotts07,
I found a link to the Belarus 525 at tractordata.com
According to the information posted there, your tractor should have two 6 volt batteries, with 12 volts going to the starter.
Here's a link to the Belarus 525 info. page.

I had the same problem. Turns out it was worn bushings that caused the starter core to contact the inside of the outer case. This drag if not fixed will result in burning out the starter. Could be just bushings will do if you catch it early. Have it rebuilt. ....
