My grandfather has a L2850D that the right lift arm broke on. Was hogging when the arm broke lifted hog up as much as possible with the still good arm drove the couple hundred yards to the house and lowered the hog down as he always does when it gets parked. Ordered new arm. Son, wife, and myself took it part labling each pieces location. Then put it back together just as we took it apart. Now though it will not raise at all. We have double checked everything. The control lever has way to much play in it and you can see the rod underneath moving on the right side(same side control lever is on) but no movement on left side where it comes out from under seat and attaches to the small rod connected to the left lift arm. Not sure what to look at now.

Not Exactly sure what are you are talking about. So you took the entire upper 3pt cover off? Including the valve assy. If so you do not have it adjusted right. With out seeing how that model is laid out My suggestion would be to talk to your service manager at the dealer an see if he will photo copy the service manual of the section that out lines the adjustments needed. ....
