have around a 2000 kabota L35. using the shuttle shift in forward or reverse, the engagement of the hydralic clutch pack is rough, causing tractor to jerk, especially after it is warmed up. changed to super udt. didn't help at all. the longer I run it, the worse it gets. Has any one had this problem or any suggestions.

Ledford, Check the "suction" lines going into the transmission (underneath). I have a 2000 L35 that was acting jerky last year and found a connection hose had a small hole that was allowing air to get into the line. It took care of the problem. Also check the lines between the transmission and the front pump for same. Good luck. ....

Some air leaks on the suction line are very hard to find as you can suck air into a smaller hole then might leak fluid! Look over very closer. It is best to not clean before looking as a clean spot might very well be your leak. ....

Here's another trick we discovered, if you don't see a clean spot, or spot a leak as Art mentioned, then clean the hose off, and get it wet with a fine mist of water from a hand spray bottle. A leak will inhale the water around it and leave a bare spot in the water, or at least make a visible depression in the surface tension of the water on the hose.

Best of luck. ....

Sounds like you are on to it. You should especially have no leaks along the hydro filter lines. Good luck. ....
