I like the plastic ones better as they don't break as often! Check your mounting and be sure not to over tighten. They normally only break at installation. ....

It is unlikely they make a glass one to fit there. Does the bowl look crazed all over or is it a single crack?

If there is crazing there is something in your diesel that is attacking the plastic. ....

both times it had a few spots where it was crazing. like the plastic had flaws in it. how would diesel attack it? i'm kinda new at this and i know there are different grades of diesel but i'm not sure what the differences are. ....

Are you judging the bowls as cracked by looking at them or are they are leaking? ....

If if it fairly uniformly crazed all over the bowl then it is chemical attack of the plastic. You may have some chemical in the diesel that is attacking the plastic. In other words the plastic is partly soluble in the plastic.
If you have one or two larger cracks in one area then either the bowls are molded incorrectly, normally two fast, allowing the polymer chains to align in one direction and providing minimal strength in the other, or as Art said the seal at the top of the bowl is not aligned or something is apply too much force to the bowl in place. ....

the first one i noticed because it was leaking all over. the second one i noticed just because i check on it once in a while now. there are many small spots all over it but there are 2 bigger ones that kinda look like a windshield hit by something. splintered in all directions. and 2 other ones in lines but not straight lines. they look like they wanted to splinter ....

the station where i get the diesel said they had 2 kinds. 1 was on road (taxed) and 1 was home heating oil, which they called off road diesel. they said they were the same but the off road has a dye in it and isn't taxed. are they the only differences? ....

The bowl should be able to with stand the chemical compounds in diesel. Unless they are adding something to the diesel it should be OK.
I would look at the bowl holder and the bowl and make sure there is even pressure on the bowl.
Without looking at the bowl it is difficult. The injection molding gate is likely in the center of the bottom of the bowl. If the problem is a chemical attack the crazing will be small in the direction around the lip of the bowl and a little heavier radiating from the bottom center. If the problem is in molding then the bowl will have large cracks only from the center of the bottom.
If it is a molding defect Kioti should replace them under waranty for free. ....

I contacted my dealer and they first said it would be $8.95 plus shipping, I became a bit upset and said I had not touched the bowl and it better be covered under warranty. They said they would take care of it. By the way the tractor is 1 month old with 55 hours. Also, while waiting on the new bowl, JB Quick Weld held the crack all day today. ....
