That China, Russia, and Iran (along with a few smaller others) Will someday team together to "get the fat West Country's". Does anyone here see a possible future
World War???? I sure hope that our allies start to take a long hard look at what is going on and who is compasionate for who in the world!
Building our strategic oil reserves is a great idea, we may need them some day, and NOT for traveling to MacDonalds! That untapped oil reserve up north (IMO) better get tapped ASAP!!!!!AND NOT FOR Americans to take
trips to WalMart!
It sure is starting to look like Russia and China are sucking up to Iran and what they "want", makes me think that an alegence is in those three country's future even though there is NO love loss between a few of them???

Maybe I am just paranoid?

Amercians have a very short "attention span" and with that "Memory' which is suppose to be used for comparisions, is also rather short.
Let's look at Russia, during the Nikta Kruschev era, there was a pact with Mexicon to attack the U.S. thru its Southern Borders, Hark, Hollywood took it and made the movie 'Red Dawn".
Many feel, well ole nikta is dead and gone and the Berlin Wall has come down and Russia fell apart and therefore te world and the U.S. can sleep. can we?
Why did Pres. Reagan push so hard for Star Wars? what did they know then that we seem to ignore and not want to beleive today? The key for a secure defense is to stay One Step ahead, if they have long range Nukes we put Defense Satellites in Space, when they get into Space we put a base on the Moon, if they go to the Moon, we go to Mars etc etc etc. We need to stay One Step ahead in order to neutralize any threats. Now Iran, China, Russia, Pakistan and soon India all have a Space Program.
In the last few weeks, even tho Iran is being defiant and daring the U.N. and threaten the world security, Illegal aliens are flocking our streets and War Protestors are marching. This is WORST than the 60s because the Americans at this time are TOLERANT and can NOT see past their noses. They will listen to the Illegal Aliens and strike a deal, they will lookat the Dumb Ass Liberal War Protestors and as in Vietnam strike a compromise. War is NOT about compromise it is about seeing it thru. Once you strike a compromise the Dead become a number and not a part of a cause. We need to get Our backbones back and I remember when Pres Reagan gave it all to us and we used it. Now we seem to have a Wishbone where are backbone should be, we all stand around waiting for someone else to make the move. Yet! the crude are taking to the streets and we watch. Why aren't WE who stand for Honor, Courage, Pride, Morals, Integrity taking to the streets? why do we alsways JUST SIT and watch everyone else so we end up feeling like we are the minority? Hell! we can at least write our Senators, I have sent letters to each and everyone I know of and not just my own.
Lincoln once said "United we stand, departed we fall" Wow! are we close or what? ....

If I were to own any firearms, I would have bought them from rummage sales, flea markets, private sellers, ect so that not one of the firarms that I might own would be registered with ANYONE. Neither would the reloading equipment and supplies that I might have on hand. Or the thousands of rounds of ammo... Or... Or... Or... ....

Probably not just what you want to hear but read the last book of the Bible. It says Russia and China (has to be them for the direction is from the North and East and they are the only nations with the population to suit) will attack Israel. I would have to look but I think the path is either through Iran or Iraq and right off I don't remember which.

There are those who believe Iran is baiting a trap to try and draw us in, and give a reason to Russia and/or China to attack.

This any wise person should realize, it is serious.

Even a simple minded "cheese head" like myself can figure out we are being baited. Todays BIG NEWS Iran say's they found more plutonium (spell real bad LOL). Cmon, if that is not adding another log to the fire!
I feel they are baiting us in more ways than just Russia and china, maybe trying to also get us to take a defensive (or offensive) position that will put even more wedge between us and Alah followers.
Horse farmer
Dont joke about that! I still have canned goods from 2001/2002 (BTW) When they near their expiration date, they make great donations to food drives for the kids and grand kids).
My wife had asked what I was doing with all that ammo? She was amazed that I already had invisioned what may happen in the event of a nuke or even a rogue nuke attack here. In the event of a plague or some form of human to human spread terror influenza type deal! I had told her that our drive way is long enough for any car that may pull into to turn around WELL before I shoot em! Makes you wonder what the next big movie will be about? I have a script already written! Folks in the sticks getting invaded by city folk looking for "safe havens" while we are being attacked. The city folk are carriers of infectious bacteria. It will be a free for all! I sure hope CNN is there to cover the Mexican border! Watch all the TRUE AND BLUE Meixican/AMERICANs running their butts off trying to get BACK INTO Mexico!

For anyone who has ever been to Northern Mexico, they only understand One language there....BRIBERY.
So you see these ILLEGALS marching in the Parades and the Demostrations carrying the Red White and Blue of the U.S. are they really caring about the U.S. or do they just want to jump in and enjoy the harvest and when the shit hits te fan, let the gringos worry about it?
SEND THEM BACK TO MEXICO ....

My wife just brought up another good point.
If these people are getting paid wages that Americans wouldn't work for, it probably means they are not being reported and therefore no taxes, FICA or insurance or anything else is being deducted which means that these cheap labor people earning $5 per hour is actually earning an equilvilant of about $10 per hour and it is really the COMPANY that is saving the money and not the workers?
So let's go after the companies.
I emailed every single person that had an email address in the "11 million plus" reference addies. Kennedy did NOt have an email and so did not many others, McCain did and I included Govs as well.
I suggest everyone go to the 11 million plus thread and link to the two addresses and send emails to these jokers, flood them with email and let them know that 1.1 million illegals in the streets do NOT represent the 300 million legals that stayed home. ....

kt,
you may be right about Russia and China, but you don't have to go 1000 miles away from Israel to find nations who hate it. Directly north of Israel is Lebanon with Hezballah, Syria and Turkey (who killed 1.5 million Christian Armenians in 1915 and still haven't apologized for it). Directly to the east are Jordan (the proud homeland of Zarqawi) Iraq and Iran. Israel will be attacked by a coalition of the muslim countries, no doubt about that.

Folks,
China has no gripe with Israel, the Chinese get too many weapons technologies from Israel to want to attack them. And Russia hasn't been able to put out a minor Chechen rebellion for 12 years now, do you think they are ready for a world war?

The fact is, Iran has every right to fear us, our Army is at it's borders, not the other way around. This whole Iran business reminds me a story. Once, a small shabby dog was runnig up the street when he crossed paths with a man. The man didn't like that the dog was shabby and spit at him. The dog growled. The man didn't like that and kicked the dog. The dog bit the man. The man really didn't care for that and yelled: "Hey, this must be a rabid dog!", pulled out his gun and shot the dog. The moral of the story is: just because we don't like Iran, doesn't mean we have to escalate our dislike into a military confrontation and claim that it was all Iran's fault. The 1979 hostage situation should have been dealt with 25 years ago; it's over now, let's sit down and have discussions, instead of escalating into another dead-end middle-east war. ....

It just dawned on me! The reason this administration is so pre-occupied with Iran's nuclear program is to divert the attention of Americans from the real problem, here in our own land! We have upwards of 11 million foreigners having crossed our borders illegally - that's bigger than ANY standing army in the WORLD! We are under a full blown invasion, our cities have been taken over by the hords of barbarians, but we're warried if Iran may threated Israel with nuclear weapons that are years away in development. Who cares about Tehran, if we're loosing Texas?! Let's stop the invasion at home before we worry about threats to others abroad. ....

Your dog story had a good basis to it, but I do NOT think the U.S. is trying to do a thing as in your story. Iran is being defieant and boasting about what it will do with it's weapons and even said it would attack the U.S. and other European countries. Your story should be about a Dog who is going around threatening to bite people and that it has sharpen its teeth and will bite harder than ever. That changes the moral of the story just a tad. ....

you said "The reason this administration is so pre-occupied with Iran's nuclear program is to divert the attention of Americans from the real problem, here in our own land! "
The administration is NOT preoccupied with Iran, all that you have heard is RESPONSE to waht Iran says, AFTER Iran says it. Th emedia is reporting what the President of Iran is constantly saying and doing and the ADMIN is NOT involved at all, I think Rice has made a comment and no one in the Administration, that I am aware of is telling me or anyone I know that we are going in militarily and to watch the news and don't listen to anything else but news on Iran.. Don't confuse the Media and their hunger for stories and their wide-eyed imaginations and far-fetched sensationalism to the Bush Administration, they aren't even remotedly related. After all that is what pissed the WHite Press Corps off when Cheney reported to a a Texas Media versus them.....smile. The WH Press Corps is NOT apart of any Adminsistration as much as they want to believe that they are....LOL

That nut in Tehran is definitely going to be responsible for whatever harm may befall his people. No president should be as stupid as to threaten to erase Israel from the face of the earth when he knows Israel is fully capable to do the same to his country at any moment. ....

From what little I understand of Iranian politics, that lowdmouth peasant Ahmadenajad is not even running the country. He's the front man. The real power is with the mullahs and the spiritual leader. Those folks want the bomb for security but don't want the war - they want to sell oil and enjoy their comforts. persians like their comforts, they are lowsy warriors. I don't think we should take Ahmadenajad too seriously. he has a screw loose. Now, if israelis decided to take him out, I wouldn't hold it against them. ....

Using your "take" on Iran and their intentions, the first thing that comes to my mind is this. When I make just about anything the first one takes the most effort. If I make two at the same time one may never know I am making two. (follow me)??? This, I feel is anouther concern with Iran and its peacefull intentions. With out profesional inspections at any time and place who would know the difference if they were to get their Nuke power plants "online" with their own proccessed plutonium (And on the side have enough "better quality grade" that makes its hands into other organizations hands along with extra materials" I may be "out their" with my thinking, but at this time in the world, I feel we are extremely vulnerable.
Its funny how back in the 70's and early 80's talk in the schools (or atleast in the back of our heads) we were worried about Russia and the chance of us having a Nuke war. My kids have never had to worry about that. Me thinks that in the near future my kids will have more to worry about than I had?

I dont know enough to talk about this subject but I do have worry's and concerns.
I really enjoy listening to you military folks and others here that know a hell of alot about the inner workings and also the history of these subjects. Its like a history lesson I never mastered
Thanks all ....

What I do know.
1. Russia never liked the U.S.
2. Russia had a pact with Mexico, Vietnam and Iraq. Look at the weapons being used against us, SAMs, MIGs, AK-47s, T-70s etc etc etc
3. Russia has a Space Program, China has a Space Program
4. Space Programs and Long Range Weapons go hand and hand
5. Russia was in Baghdad just before we got there
6. Iran will be loyal to any country that is willing to help them.
7. We are involved in Two Wars, Mexicans are crossing our borders by the millions, our Seurity is going down the tubes, we have become tolerant, we arebeing side tracked, we have a lack of morals, our backbones have been replaced with Wishbones.
8. we are Vulnerable the timing is perfect for any country to take full advantage of us. ....

I though that in the 80's Israel smoked some power plants in either Iran, or Iraq. If the USA would take the handcuffs off of Iseral you would be hard pressed to find a muslim. They would end that probem now, until waiting for the "END OF TIMES". Maybe that would not be a good Idea then we would have the illegal Latinos and the muslims here because we would leave the door open and the lights on.

I wonder how long you can last on canned pork and beans with out going nuts. Dont the illegals pick the beans, cut the grass, pick the fruit we are in a world of crap. I think I will stick to Spam and soda crackers. ....

HEY! Pork and beans are pretty damm good! Also, ever try Turkey Spam? My wife thinks I am crazy, but, in the boxes of food I had set up in our cabin (after 911) I had 12 cans of spam (turkey and that hamm stuff LOL) The turkey was pretty dam tasty (although my kids said it stunk up the house. (actually it was pretty bland and had a crappy taste) BUT Since I am A Italian-Polish American I was too damm cheap to throw it away and was too stupid to put them in the packs I gave to the food drives.
The bottom line though (and fact of the matter) Is that I was raised in a family that ate what was put in front of you, Period) From Squid at Chistmas time (oops I mean the HOLIDAY time) to chicken livers (breaded and fried of course) I learned to like just about anything that was cooked. The only thing I could never get my self to eat and like THE ONLY THING IN THE WORLD is
(spelling?) Cha-nee-nah (Duck blood soup) I made the mistake of helping the old Polish guys at deer camp make the soup! I had a 103 degree fever that day and when I went to eat it I lost it! Never could stand to even look at it again!

I am A Italian-Polish American
------------------------------------------------------
Now there is a down home red blooded-American setup if I have ever heard of one. I work with a bunch of guys from Philly, good people.

STORY TIME: FOOD
Peters: the following is a real story.

For reference: In south GA. there are plenty of armordillas.
A few years ago we had a scare at work that the base was going to have a RIF (reduction in force)or may even close. I may loose my job. This realy concerned my 10yr old son. He asked me what would be the outcome if this came about. Would we have enough to eat. I told him not to worry the worse that could happen is that we would have to eat armordillas, and we would not go hungry. Hey food is food. I though he was concerned before, now it turned to panic. Three days later I got a call from the county school district that my son was very up set with the culinatory armordilla delight. They wanted to know if we needed assistance. That took some explaining those were some colorful individuals at the school District . Carefull what you joke about with your kids. You know like the Turkey Spam. I have tried the Turkey spam once you get past the smell it taste alot like armordilla or(possum on the half shell). I have seen the blood soup on TV. Maybe if you had some hot sauce. No, I dont think so. LOL

From my archives ....
