Anyone have or ever use a 3 pt. 6' Taylor Backhoe attachment? There's one on ebay for $3749 and about $700 delivery to Ca. This is cheaper than I can buy a Nardi brand locally at about $6300. The dealer wants $8200 but it does have a subframe.

Taylor-Pittsburgh make a lot of really nice equipment, so I would guess that they make a quality backhoe.

I would NOT, however, put their backhoe, or anyone else's on a Cat 1 hitch tractor without a sub-frame. That is just asking for trouble. ....

I won't mount the backhoe attachment on the 3 pt. I'll fabricate a subframe and mount it to the JD tractor.
But my main concern is the quality of the Taylor backhoe attachment(???).
Thanks ....

I have no direct experience with the quality of this company. I can tell you they have been around for a while and have a large product line. ....

I bought a new 4 ft rotary cutter for my 750 JD. It was good quality but I am not sure how I can compare to the backhoe. ....

I have seen these units on eBay for a while now myself. I was curious - called one of the sellers, and checked them out in person. I later saw one at an auction - both brand new, and VERY well built. I most definitely thought if I was going to get another hoe, I would get one of these for my small work.

Thanks to all who replied.
Odd thing is that no one has replied as to owning or operating this particular Taylor attachment :-( .
My property has mostly river rocks and I just finished digging the first 16 post holes for a 3 rail fence I'm putting up around 10 acres. The rocks are so dense, I couldn't use a hand post hole digger so it was with a long heavy crow bar to loosen the rocks and a shovel to remove them out of the hole. Each strike with the bar sent jars of pain up each arm and shoulder. So I've decided to bite the bullet and order one.

Good idea.

I can tell you from experience that a backhoe is cheaper than an orthopedic surgeon and two weeks off work. ....
