I was working today and had the tractor in idle while positioning a load and when I climbed back on the engine killed. I have not been able to start it again. Initially (while still hot) it would fire for a second before dying. Now it won't fire at all.

I do not get the glow plug light or any clicking when I turn the switch. Everything else electrical seems to work, even the starter.

I followed some threads about various safety switches but have not had any success. Fuses are OK, fuel was topped off last night.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

You may also want to check your fuel filter to see if it plugged up or has water in it. ....

Thanks to all for your help. I think I have isolated the problem. There is a broken wire in the wire harness as it leaves the instrument panel. The harness goes through the floorboard and onto the rear of the tractor.

Time will tell for sure but it is OK now.

Thanks again..... ....
