Looking for a medium-duty blade for my 4410. Frontier has made the RB 1172 for several years...505 lbs, tilts and angles both ways, and I think it has a power angle capability (tell me if this is not correct). The price I was quoted was $1050...add the sides to use like a box blade for another $126.
The new RB 2172 only tilts one way but angles both, weighs around 465 lbs, and doesn't have the power angle feature. I was given $850 quote for the blade and $81 extra for the sides. What do you guys think???

DK...

I have the 1172 on my 4710 and so far it has worked great. The one thing I wish it had was more angle adjustment when turned around backwards. I also wish the blade was a bit heavier for plowing snow. All in all, I think the 1172 is a very handy blade. I would recommend getting a hydraulic top cylinder for your tractor, it sure makes a nice addition. ....
