I have the L3130 with a 5' King Kutter. I mow mostly hazelnut brush and 1-2" saplings with it. This brush is very invasive and has very tough fibers. The 3130 has plenty of power for the 5' mower. If I were just cutting weeds and grass it should easily handle a 6' mower. If you're specifically interested in a Bush Hog mower, it should be of higher quality than my KK.

I have been looking at the King Kutters myself and have been a little concerned about durability. I only have about 11 acres to maintain so it would get that much use. How happy have you been with yours? ....

A sharp edge always helps! On another note be sure your front edge is the lowest when cutting. That way you only cut once which uses less horsepower and your blades will stay sharp longer. I like to see the front about 1/2" lower then the rear and you might have to adjust your tail wheel for that. ....
