Just purchased a tractor with a Kelley B751 3 point backhoe attachment. Looking for an 8" bucket that will fit. Seller says he found one for $295.00. Not sure where but thought I would shop a bit before I call him. Any offers???

Chuck, narrow buckets for trenching often don't clean well when dumping unless dry. Often they are also far deeper then a wider bucket making clay type load hard to remove. ....

I have to agree w/ Art. A 13" came with my JD48. I also use for trenching, and even this width has its clogging problems... especially in clay. I wish I had gone wider. Also, you really cant get a lot of work done with a small bucket. Eventually you'll want to dig some holes or do some other type of work, and it'll take forever with a small bucket. Just my $.02. ....

Chuck

I have a 9 and a 24 for my BH and I have used both extensively...
I use the 9, not for trenching but for digging stumps and boulders, gets a better grip and is able to tear thru the roots better than the wider bucket. I use my 24 for burying them BIG muthas and for trenching and digging big holes or removing banks etc. Most of the time with the 9, I don't even bother to clean it (while working it) I just keep grabbing them roots and pulling etc and then I also use it to get up underneath the main stump. Works great...
Just my experience
good luck ....

Chuck -

The price is not all that far off. I know from my own checking around for my Woods, the scoops are about $300 each, whether it be 8",10",16", 24".

Watch the auctions...I was able to pick up two scoops, one 8", and another 16" for $90 each! (yes these are factory scoops, not aftermarket)

Wingwiper -
You'll love this one. Years ago when I bought my backhoe, it is a Woods 650 (6.5' depth), it had a 24' scoop on it - for that size hoe. I never really could fathom that size hoe with that size scoop. I use the 16" for most everything other than the trenching, and is great.
