Does anyone have any idea on why 3pt hitch wont lift?
Used this e230 for a while and it suddenly quit lifting.
Where is the fill and check points for hydraulic fluid?
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Some control markings are in Japanese. Anyone know where to get an operator/service manual in english?

Thanks

I have a 2304 and the lift quit twice. First time I took it apart (plate beneath the the seat) and changed the filter and fluid. Fill and check points are by the shifter in front of the seat. Takes about five gallons. Worked fine after that, for a while. Second time it quit I again changed the filter but it still did not work. I drained the fluid again and let it drip for a long time. Near the end, thick "goop" drooled out, composed primarily of what apppeared to be a very fine mud. Rice paddy stuff? Filled it up again and it still did not work. Took apart everything, including the pump, all hoses and other parts I can't even describe. Put it back together and it worked fine, for a while. Worked one day, would not work the next. Then the next day, after running it a t high revs, it worked fine again. Has worked well since. So many small passages in the system, I think the "goop" may clog them once in a while. Next summer I will let it drip several hours. Hope this helps a little. ....

Your tractor has an adjustment knob just under the operator seat in front. Start your tractor and as you turn the knob you will see the hitch begain to move! Just set you adjustment speed with the lift lower control! Then it should work just fine! ....

Order a manual. I am using the repair manual for an Allis Chalmers 5020.

Your fill point is a big rubber plug just below and in front of the seat. The oil level plug is the bolt to the left of the PTO selector. Tractor Supply has a two gallon jug that meets the AC 821 oil specs.

Trying to find Hinomoto E230 parts is a pain, but when I look for AC 5020 parts, a lot more options come up. ....
