Have any of y'all have anyone complain about the 3 point hitch on the 2800s being rough. Every time I raise and lower any implement it shakes the whole tractor. I am new to tractor owning but not operating and this just does not seem right. Thanks for your time.

I looked at a 2004 2800DT model to buy today and when I lifted the finish mower the whole tractor was jumping. I knew there was something wrong. I did not offer any money just for that reason. If there is a fix for this I may consider. If you find out the fix please post it.
thanks ....

There are number reasons the shafts can be shuttering. It maybe as simple as low on oil and sucking air.
The bearings on the shafts can be binding also.
The valve can be acting up. ....

Like Peters says, if it is low on oil and is jumping I'd stay away from it because that usually means the pump is, or will be soon, wiped out and could be very costly to replace or rebuild. If the fluid level is topped off with fresh oil it could still be a problem lifting anything that has a weight to it. ....

This is a known problem on the L2800 and L3400. A replacement 3pt control valve will be done under warranty which smooths out the operation considerably.

New models now come with the updated valve from the factory.

(I had my L3400 done right away.) ....
