FYI, I have a DK 35 3 years old. I always serviced as per manual. No problems except for a loader seal slipped when almost new. At 245 hours it developed a loud noise. The dealer that I purchsed it from suggested it was water in the fuel, and I should add a additive to the tank. It just got worse. I took it to the new local dealer, who eventually found it was a broken crank. It was out of warrenty and cost $3500 to repair and 2 months. I was told the factory supplied a new crank($500) at n/c. I now have an additionl 30 hours on the tractor. I would have thought the factory would have paid to fix this because it had so few hours and a broken crank must have been a defect in the metal. I am unhappy with the company for not standing behind their product.

And did you go directly to Kioti when it was first discovered and calmly & rationally expalin the situation to them and ask what if anything, they, the manufacturer, were willing to do about it?

I have had several major repairs done gratis on equipment that was out of warranty.

Best of luck. ....

Sorry to hear of your negative experience. In my opinion, I think Kioti could have done better by you and perhaps the dealer did not do their part in presenting your warranty or unusual circumstance to Kioti.

I think Murf has a point and perhaps if you wrote Kioti directly with a very factual and well written letter outlining what took place and the support or lack there of that you got or did not get; they may get back to you with some type of offer or gesture to hopefully square things up and make this issue less costly to you and try to at least do the right thing.

Hope your DK35 is performing well now in any case. ....

Unfortunately the squeeky wheel gets the grease. The dealer is not necessarily going to act as your advocate. In this case he did a little as he got the crank for free. If you did not move the problem from the dealer to the area service rep. then you can not necessarily expect to recieve satifaction.
In this day and age we do not expect the crank to break on a young tractor. There must have been a flaw in the casting of the crank.
From what I know of the DK series this is very rare. If you squeek I believe Kioti will make it right as Murf says Kubota does.
I had a Toyota have a serious engine problem a few years back. It was just out of waranty also. I talked with the dealer and got no where. Then I insisted that I talk with the service rep. and Toyota provided free service. ....

Thanks for your replies. I will attempt to contact Kioti directly through their web site unless somewon has a better suggestion. I will post the results if they(Kioti) reply to me. ....
