I think this is common problem with this series of tractors. I bought a Case/IH with a broken frame & have heard of a couple others that broke. Most of the ones in salvage yards have broken clutch housings.

Cut the pressure line. Run the pump side to the IN on the control valve & the other end to the OUT of the valve. I braze pipe fittings on the line. Compreeion fittings can also be used.

A common problem is unhooking loader hoses & running the tractor with them unhooked. The pump is dead headed & shears a key or breaks the pump. The pump is not a rebuildable pump. I can supply new or possible a used pump. I can be reached at parts

These tractors have little excess radiator capacity. You could have plugged passages in the radiator which would require a shop to boil it out. Getting hot that fast makes me think of a cracked head (common problem) but hope not.

The hydraulic filter is a screen on top of the hydraulic pump. Look for drain hole under the trans/rearend housing. There aren't English manuals for the SD1840 , but there are manuals for similar US tractors. Email me at parts at sheaftractor.net for manuals

Your clutch is not bad. Your tractor does not have an internal over running clutch. I van supply you with an external one.

if IT STARTS WHEN YOU jump across the solenoid your problem is in the key switch , safety switch or the wiring of the key circuit.
