When you noticed that the tractor was at a point of no return, i.e., it was going to tip over, did you jump off the tractor? Thank goodness no one was hurt!

It seems much of the Northeast is doing the same, shopping for a pellet stove. I went to numerous fireplace stores in Connecticut and all had the same story. All sold out until next April for the better quality pellet stoves and or inserts. I see the Napoleon pellet stoves are still available on the internet, however, I did not care for the overall quality of that stove as compared to the Quadra-Fire stoves. I ordered Quadra-Fire's top of the line pellet insert back in July from a dealer up in New Hampshire and his prices were over $1,000 less than any CT dealer (plus no sales tax in NH). So a trip up to NH in Jan/ Feb when the insert is slated to come in will be in-store. Until then I am preparing the chimney with the stainless steel liner etc. while the weather is nice.<br>

I really feel for the elderly and I don't know how they are going to handle this coming winter, hope it is a mild one.

Thanks Dennis for posting the Kubota Alternator upgrade instructions. I think the instructions should guide one through the install fairly straight forward. However if there are any questions please email me and I would be happy to assist. I find that I am like I was when I was 16 years old and had my first car (1967 Firebird) I always wanted to do something more to the car. With the tractor I am no different, now if I can find a turbo conversion kit and my old 8 track I will be all set!

Looking forward to designing some attachments and building them. I need to polish my skills with SolidWorks (3D modeling software). I plan on designing and building a 3pt forks for moving supplies, wood, etc. around as a simple initial project.

It does, I have the caddy grounded and is supposedly OK to store indoors in a garage per the manufacturer's specifications. However, I am still concerned. actually I installed a Modine Ceiling mounted Propane heater in the garage and I was really concerned with a possible propane leak. I pressure tested the lines for over two weeks (with compressed air) just to sure there wasn't a slow leak. I also do not allow smoking in the area, i.e., when friends or a contractor may come over. My 5 gallon diesel cans are the Justrite brand metal containers to minimize the chance of a fire due to storing fuel. I do have one of those plastic gas cans that I no longer use, I always smelled gasoline when I stored fuel in it.<br>

By-the-way, diesel in CT is selling for $3.60 per gallon!

Description: <br>Setup of to draw fuel from my 5 gallon container using the yellow Tygon hose and into the caddy via the black fuel line with the manual nozzle. When filling from the caddy to the tractor I have the ball valve from the tank open and the ball valve to the Tygon hose shut.

Back in November I drove my 2008 Ford F-250 from home in CT to my wife's parents place in Roanoke, VA. Funny with the first tank of gas bought in CT I was averaging ~13 miles/ gallon. When I filled up in VA I was averaging 15 miles/ gallon,(per the trucks computer), I too thought it was related to the fuel formulation. I have noticed a drop in MPG in CT when they started going with the "oxygenated & ethanol" formula. <br>

When I filled up in VA I did not see a sticker on the pump indicating "up to 10% ethanol" as it is on all the pumps here in CT.
