I use it in all my vehicles/equipment.
The top name synthetics are all good stuff.
I've always found it interesting that although many say that there is no difference between dino oil and synthetic the same will say not to use it until the normal "break-in" time is past.
Could that be because synthetic is a superior lube and will not allow the proper "set" in an internal cumbustion engine setup? I think so. Interesting.
I put it in any place where lubrication is needed.
The extended drain intervals are fine but I don't go to long beyond normal change.
I ask a lot of my engines. I use synthetics whenever possible.

from my expert point of view:

go to a dealer and look at one, then look at the other

at that point you'll see any differences in size

drive 'em around, operate the buckets, put 'em up on curbs, drive across the street for a beer

Get a heavy duty box scraper. On my 7510 I use a Bush Hog SBX48. Don't get a 200# box, make sure it has at least 3/8" sides and heavy duty teeth. If I need more down pressure for the box (none with 3ph) I take the same type of weights I use for rear-wheel weighting and slide over posts welded onto corners of box. Instant down pressure. Stay within weight limits of 3ph of course. With the teeth all the way extended you should be able to dig up the soil pretty good. May take a couple or 3 passes, working in increments, but you'll get it. Then retract teeth and smooth with same.I have actually used one of the teeth extended all the way down to dig a shallow trench for low-voltage wiring. I will soon create a single tooth that is longer to use for this purpose.

For the weeds: just spray 'em and be done with it.

I think I'm in the small percentile on this site that does not mow with tractor. So, even though my sarcastic side has just been exposed, I would think that to save yourself a few grand on initial cost you can create a scenario for pulling or digging out or whatever.

This is my second tractor and the true beauty of it is that I am not renting it and can take all the time I need to be creative and solve the problems at hand. Most 20+ hp CUT's will have the guts to do most anything we want (within reason of course) if we can get the power to the ground. I liken it to my pickup: 300 turbo charged HP but with no weight in back to get the wheels onto the ground she spins like a mutha'.

Most guys/gals here are in a particular category. Inventive, creative, resourceful. It reminds me of the monkey (sorry) at the beginning of 2001 A Space Odyssey. One day nothing, can't even figure out how to pee. Next day figuring out how to down a Mastadon for clothing, food, and bones for tools. Next day a Kubota CUT and a 60" plasma TV.

Evolution is a great thing.
Just sometimes takes a while.

c5er - We have 5 acres and just went thru the same concerns. I beleieve that if you check the capacity of 2110 vs 4010 you'l find the little one picks about 80 more pounds. Trying to rememember how I came across that.

We went with the B7510 w/LA302 FEL. Don't go 7510 w/out 302. We boiled it down to JD 4010 and the B7510. Both great machines as you already know. The deciding factor for us was the visibilty of the loader from seat. 80% ofour use is FEL and dont want me or the wife to run into our 100 yr old barn.

Go somewhere that carries green ones and orange ones. Sit on a 4010 and operate the bucket. Get off, sit on 7510 and operate bucket. You'll see what I mean.

The sub-CUT do not have the ground clearance needed for us.

Got an xlnt price when they mis-interpreted the 'other' offers I had.
Brand new with a warranty.
They are very unprofessional, unknowledgable, and have tremendous public relations issues.
I am in the service biz (26 years now) and they are NOT players. Merely misguided bafoons. Very irritating.

I could spend a weekend at their store and sell more than they sell in a quarter, just by treating customers right and being knowlegeable. The product almost sells itself.

Hard to believe that Kubota knows that there are people out there representing their xlnt product in this fashion.

Actually they'll know here very soon.

We got our 7510 a few weeks ago w/rigid ROPS (B7510HSD-R)because they had none on the lot with foldable. We paid for foldable and they said they would swap-out when available, no big deal. In the mean time I had heard from a couple 'reputable' dealer that the entire ROPS assy is to be installed per foldable or rigid. The serial numbers should dictate this. <br>

After having it 3 days they have returned my tractor with the foldable ROPS on it. Same serial number on base unit of ROPS, just stuck a foldable section on top of it I guess.<br>

Frankly I don't see this as an issue but could liability issues come into play down the road? <br>

The part number on base (lower) part of ROPS is SFB24-A.<br>

There have been a ton of issue with these guys and now that this ROPS issue is over I can sever my ties with them and inform Kubota accordingly. It's a great product. I hate to see it in the hands of such boneheads.<br>

watts= volts x amps

you want to run a blender thru an inverter
the blender draws 4.0 amps (info on blender dataplate)
it is a 120vac blender (off your kitchen counter)
it will take 480 watts of power use it (120 x 4.0)
that is ....once it's up and running
surge wattage may be 6.0 - 8.0 amps

as it's running you throw a frog in there
will "bog down" and draw a bit more before it levels out

when buying inverters go big

2 batteries at 6volts in series will be a better 12v source than 1 at 12v

I did use an old WeldpPak 100 the other night at work. Had a couple 3/16 brackets that I just stuffed onto a 1/4 bigger piece just for fun. This welder was 4-5 years old, heavily used. First pass came out a bit wierd. Making 2-3" passes around these little scrap pieces. A couple more tries and it came out OK, barely OK. All settings maxed-out. Wouldn't have done anything thicker.

I was fixing some elevators at the airport the other day and came across some iron-workers doing an overhead decking project. They said they use them occasionally for little tack jobs and other pissy things. Not sure which brand or size but a 110vac unit. They say if gun uses .035 you can increase heat by using .031 wire.

I s'pose I'll use my normal rule: configure what I'll do at a maximum and take one more step.

I was fascinated by the BX23 as well. If it wasn't for the ground clearance I would have had one. It's more a residential machine, meaning, for smoother contours and relatively flat working spaces. Sure you can get it into many places and get it out because of the b-hoe. I am enjoying the 12" clearance underneath as my 5 acres are a bit rustic.
Art's point on the backhoe hire-out is right on the mark. We have opted to not ad the "auto $6K" for backhoe and hire someone to do the little I will need. The great thing is that I can always get a backhoe for my rig later if I want. The B series ractors are mighty nice. Ours is perfect for us.
