You'll run your self nuts with this and who says what. Here's what I do with my tractor tires and it does not matter what style.

Look at the tire print on the driveway. Do you have a full contact patch across the tire? if not soften the tire until you do. Do not over soften. The edge of the tire should just be a little off the ground. My best guide is wet tires and dry garage floor when I drive in. I also look at snow imprint when I back out into fresh snow.

If you only use your loader occassionally I'd do the tires as the tractor mostly will be worked. Mine are set for loader on, empty bucket. I mow with loader off and the only time I have ever changed my front tire pressure was for a exceptional, 2 days of gravel moving, operation. I have never changed my rear tires even with the backhoe mounted, it is not on there but a few hours at a time. If I was to leave it mounted I'd change the pressures for that operation.

Tire pressure in these tires is not rocket science but you do need them firm enough not to roll off the rim in a hard turn or side hill operation and soft enough to make full contact with ground.

You can still buy the tips at tractor supply. You can also buy the whole tooth. I have not found a source for the clamps that hold the teeth to the bar. There are lots of different styles out there so you need to be flexible. Ussually a couple pieces of flat stock and some bolts will work fine.

I started with a very old set of spring tooth drags/harrows. Found a better set in an abonanded field and went wheeling and dealing for them and got them for free, but he still has option to use my york rake but its been 6-7 years now. Took the old ones apart and have all the parts stached.

I've since found a 3ph set of Ford drags 8' wide and have refurbished them with some of the other parts. They are currently parked and have not been used in a couple of years.

Be patient and look in old hedge rows, farmers are nortious for parking stuff there and in the edge of wood lots. Talk to them you'd be surprised at the treasures.

I used plastic insulated clothes hanging wire to snake the wires down through the inside of the ROPS........but you are right about the pain in the butt about snaking the wires down. Hook the end of the snake wire in a loop and hope for the best. ;-)

I use 99% pure spray silicone spray (Food Grade. I purchase it at the local hardware store for about $6 per can. Make sure to get "Food Grade" silicone as it has a higher % of silicone. Iusually spray 3-4 times per winter. The key is to spray on a heavy coat and allow it to dry throughly. DO NOT wait until it's time to plow to spray the bucket.

Anyone know if Kubota makes a 5 foot bucket that will fit this model loader. The literature only calls out a 6 foot bucket. I really would like to have more bucket options with the Kubota but I have not seen any advertised by Kubota.

That doesn't sound quite right as far as your NH dealer not wanting to honor the warranty of a NH tractor purchased from some where else. I think I would have to do a little more investigating. What happens if you move from California to New York? Sorry your warranty items will need to be handled in California?

Well you guys are way over my head in all the changes to increase this and that. The way I look at it, if you want hydro and a certain HP, then go up to the next size tractor. I used to have a gear tractor and just purchased the hydro. I don't have a problem giving up the extra HP for the ease of use of hydro. Comparison is only in the eye of the beholder. Each tractor can be made to look superior to the other when certain facts are emphasized and others are not mentioned. That is why boards like these are so important, to cut through all of the brands marketing crap and talk to the end users!!!

I told you Justin would take care of you. It was probably better to delay the delivery that way you will have plenty of time to play and not have the "24 hour bug". Maybe your wife should do some consulting on getting deals. She gets half of what she saves someone when negotiating for a tractor. You could have the tractor paid for in no time.

I bet you wish you had it with the white stuff moving in tonight. I just fueled mine up and it is ready to go except I'm still lazy and didn't put the chains on yet. What kind of tires did you go with? Did you get the chains? As far as the price, I think you did real well and as long as you feel that you got a fair shake, that is all that matters.

Careful dedeye with putting the wife out, when the divorce comes she will be driving the 'stang parking it in the garage and would have sold your tractor and race truck to buy her new boyfriend a nice car all the while living in your house. I've seen it done before!!!!! I know you're just kidding, but I thought I'd have some fun!!

As far as implements, it depends on what you are wanting to do. I would balance my needs with cost. A box blade isn't too expensive, nor is a rotary cutter, post hole digger or rake. The backhoe, tiller & snowblower are getting to be pricey items. I would love to have a backhoe to play with, but can't justify the cost for no more than I NEED it for(notice the word need not want).

I was conducting business last week in Canada when I stopped in a small business that sells used machinery. They had 5 or 6 nice Kubotas in their front lot, but as I suspected, they were all grey market. However, these people also had several Kubota brand attachments inside their shop, one of which is an RL4 rear tiller. The tine width is 48" and the unit has cat. 1 hitch. Two questions: (1) Is there such a thing as grey market attachments? (2) Would anyone know if this tiller is compatible with my 1990 4WD B6200?<br>

Both are in very good condition. Mine if I blow the dust off and repaint the foot rest area would like like new. Well maintained. The B2100 looks well maintained.

The asking price for the 2100 was $10,000 and has been dropped to $9700. This is a '96 vintage machine.

That makes good sense Art. Covering the radiator makes no sense at all if the thermostat is working and the engine temperature rises to a reasonable number. I certainly wouldn't do it just to make the gauge read warmer.

Mark, I bet you are right about that! LOL!!! AV8R, if you can get the car repaired, you might want to consider a "buck stopper" bumper/grill guard. Some guy over on the TDR is working a group purchase. ;-)

Here's further thought about oil capacity. It's probably not a problem if the trailer has a double acting cylinder. It may take a lot of oil to charge it but once it's charged the shaft side puts almost as much oil back into the reservoir as is pumped into the piston side. If it's a single acting cylinder there could be a problem but many tractors tolerate a bit of overfilling. Levels should be checked with everything retracted. Especially with a single acting cylinder, levels shouldn't be topped up when cylinders are extended.

Well, here's some pure speculation, which of course isn't connected to the real world and could be nonsense.

Appreciable air in the suction line isn't normal and suction line leaks are good ways for it go get there. Suction lines have various o-rings, seals and some have sections of rubber hose with hose clamps. Although the temperatures talked about aren't that cold, suction pressure with cold oil would be greater than when the oil is thinner after it warms. Perhaps some seal isn't very positive and air is introduced into the suction line when the oil is cold but not after is warms.

If that is what's going on the question if it's normal or is a seal defective. You might check suction line fittings and clamps for tightness as well as the filter. In this context, I wonder what the spring in the base does? I also wonder if the bubbles disappear after the oil warms. If it's normal and the explanation is right, a lighter oil would help but maybe doing nothing except avoiding hydraulic work until it warms would do the trick. In general, running a pump with frothy oil doesn't do it any good but it probably makes little difference unless it's working at higher pressure and also gets hot.

I hate to say it but from time to time the pieces are not where we need them to complete the puzzle for the delivery. That often means doing what they did. For the most part it works but when you have a customer in need and the supply chain is backed up field expediants are often used. What's bad is when they back fire like this as it does no one any good. It will cost the dealer more then if it was done right to begin with but I don't know the details.
