I did crawl under and checked the linkage as Frank suggested. It appears to be connected but the forward pedals continues to fall to the floor like there is no resistance. But the reverse pedal remains fine and it drives fine in reverse. I am getting some more transmission fluid as that appears a little low, although is works fine in reverse - unless it could require more for forward? At this point it does not move at all forward. Again, thank you Frank for the suggestion.
