I also own A JD4115. The first thing I would check would be the transmission filter. When I first mounted my 72" mmm, I had to adjust mower deck lift linkages to not contact the trans. filter. If, per say, the mower deck was raised/forced up by an obstruction. The filter may have be damaged and leaking. I hope this helps. Let us know what you find.

I have The mushroom type skids for my 72" Woods rear blade. I have no rear problems using the skids with the soft edge installed. I used #8 limestone on my driveway (about 1/4-3/8" stone size) I do need to watch for blade digging into the stone when driveway is not frozen solid. Since, I've fabed. and added gauge wheels mounted just rear of the blade. This season will be the first snow test. At the dry test a few weeks ago, the gauge wheel worked fine to repair/level the gravel drive.

Yes, the MMM brackets must be removed to mount the #46 hoe. Information per the local JD dealer.

Hey, I recommend Baldwin filters period! Not Wic/Napa brand. I sold the Wic brand (in a past life ;) . Wic produces their producd with the one size fits all thinking. Just because a filter threads onto the oil filter mount doesn't mean the filter is right for all uses. I handled too many customer defective/damage claims. Baldwin is far better product! Before anyone has their feeling hurt using Wic/Napa filters, call your local CAT. equipment dealer or Sunstraind hydraulic repair
shop.Ask Wic filters will void their warrenty. Baldwin filters are sold at better truck parts stores or search Baldwin filters for your web site.

I own a 4115,R4 tires, w/72" mid-mount mower.
I notice tire marks only if I try to mow after a rain,w/very wet sod. I will mention to lift the mower desk when making a sharp turn. The rear wheels, on the 72" deck, do not caster/swivel like the front wheels. When first using my mower deck, I left a few skid marks by leaving the desk lowered while sharp turing.
I love the 72" deck mowing straight with the cruise control set.
Comparing the 2210 with the 4115, you'll find the 4115 3pt. hitch can handle a greater number of 3pt tools (full Cat.1,3pt). Happy mowing!

I have a I-Match. The longer TSC bushing do work better than the JD's. The JD bushings tend to lose total contact with the lift points with use. The wider bushing handle the movement of the 3pt implement plus the hitch pin "traps" the bushing from rotating. I bought 3 sets of JD's bushings with the I-Match new. Since, I've replaced all JD's with longer TSC bushings.

First, no compact tractor will fully perform as a foresty cable skidder! The comparison equates like apples to oranges.
There are some who might pull some "poles" ,or smaller logs with their tractor for ,say, fire wood.
If you like to resharpen your dull chain saw, and it will be dull! Just make a cut or two from a pole with mud packed bark.
A way to reduce the amount of mud lathered into the bark is simply keep the pole out of the mud. One might,carry shorter poles with FEL/forks. One might, pull a pole with a very short hitch, to lift the one end of the pole while dragging. Applying less mud. Pulling from your drawbar will not lift the end of the pole when pulled. One might,connect a short chain to the upper connection of a 3pt quick- hitch. The 3pt offers some control of lift. Also, adding weight to the rear tires. BECAREFUL! You would also be lifting weight and possibly reduce/lose steering traction. Lifting to front axle off the ground is very possible! BECAREFUL!
A better option: (FEL/forks)Load poles onto a dump trailer that your tractor and pickup ,both,can pull! Good luck & be safe!

I,ve been kicking around a idea for a chain harrow that would suspend/mount for the FEL/forks. I'm leveling #4 & #57 limestone gravel. The FEL could raise/lower the harrow and possibly add some down pressure for weight. Another plus would be the operator is looking forward while the harrow is used. Has anybody tried this? What do you think?
