Hello all, and thank you for your help.

I recently purchased some 7.5" dia. x 3.25"-plus length D2 Tool Steel discs from eBay. A little over $200.

I also purchased 14 metric bolts of the same dia. & thread, only 3" longer than stock. I'm going to decapitate two of them and slot the ends, then use them to initially mount the spacers and wheels. About $135.

A friend who teaches Metal Shop is making the chunks of steel into 3" wheel spacers for me.

All told, unless I get the spacers plated, they will cost me about $350.

I hope that this helps anybody else who encounters this problem.
