For those who love their Jeep Grand Cherokee's this is the day and its only a few short months away (Oct 2004).
They will be offering a 325 hp/370 ftlbs torque Hemi motor in it...see link below for more details

If it only had a little more interior room. I have found mine just a wee bit on the small side, so I might have to
go up in size to a Navigator/Escalade...but I will consider this Hemi..

I can imagine how quick it will be, my 95 V-8 has a handful of aftermarket goodies, and puts out near 270hp and thats in AWD all the time...its fast for basically a stock SUV, but not 325 HP fast....nice!!

Duc, have you considered the Jeep Rescue vehicle? That is a sharp looking SUV and it comes with a 325 hp 660 ft./lbs. torque Cummins with a 6 speed transmission. It will get double the fuel mileage of the hemi plus be able to pull a house. ....

Chief,

I know nothing about it, do you have a link for it?? sounds like a concept car and maybe to far in future for me...I need to get a larger machine by Jan 2005...I have too many cars now that are too small...the Hondas are going most likely...criteria is simple I guess nothing less than 300 HP, Class IV, 4 wd, and probably a 7 passenger...and American only...

Duc ....

The Rescue is one of those vehicles made for auto shows to gauge public reaction and demand if it were to go into production. The response has been terrific but last time I talked to my DCX contact, no formal decision had been made to produce it.

Chief's right, it's an awesome vehicle. Hopefully they will make it and keep the price less than the H2 Hummer they are targeting. You probably can find a picture on the Jeep website. ....

Hey Duc,
How about the new Durango Hemi? I think its alittle bigger than the old Durango and the GC. Not near Escalade size, maybe more like Expedition sized. ....
