I finally completed a project I have been putting off for some time until the end product was jelled in my brain. Take a look at my pictures 13,14,15. You will see the light bar I attached to my 2910 roll bar. Folded down, it adds two additional work lights to the rear for mowing etc. In the up position, I have two headlights that aid in loader work at night when the bucket blocks the stock lighting. I have a rotating light that is nestled inside of the roll bar to protect it from damage. I now feel a bit more secure in the road at night clearing the mailbox and hydrant after work.

I love the dual function idea, but am I correct that the only way to use the rear work lights is to drop your ROPS?
I haven't ever released mine since the barn is high enough, but it looks heavy.
Wouldn't it be safer and easier to adjust if you made a flipping rig for just the light bar?
The rectangular bar could sit in two brackets with pins to hold them in. Then to reverse the lights you pull pins, lift the bar, roll the light bar 180 degrees, replace pins and go.
Somebody really good at this sort of thing (not me) might even be able to have pins in the ends of the bar so you don't have to hold the weight while flipping it and trying to line things up in the dark. But it would still need a locking mechinism, and a way to keep it from rattling.

I have to drop my bar to fit under the overhang in the garage. I do not use the bar when I mow, too many tree branches and I actually becomes a hazard when it hooks a limb. That is when I would use more light in the rear, when I mow at night on those rare occasions. I have a fixed mount rear light as you can see, for use when I am plowing etc. I raise the bar when the front loader is on the machine once it is clear of the garage. ....

You sound like the perfect person to ask. Sounds like you do this on a regulat basis. How hard was it to remove and re-install the FEL the first time? I have a 7800, that should be almost identical to your 2910 FEL. The bucket is a little heavier, since I have a non-stock 4-in-1, but the arms are Kubota.
I haven't tried yet, but the stock lights are definitely almost useless because of the bucket, and it would be nice to have it gone sometimes.
Just don't want to get it off and have a major project to re-install.

Nice work on the lights Cutter! The strobe safety light is a nice touch. Do you sit down low enough in the seat so you don't hit your head on the light bar if you lean back? NICE garage building too! Wish I had one of those! ;o) ....

Thanks Chief. It is out of the way of everything, including tree branches and my head. The caution light is actually on an extension plate and sits under the middle of the ROPS, the work lights are as well. They sit pretty much in line with the outside of the ROPS on their own bracket extensions welded to the main bar. ....
