I have a 1999-2000 Cub Cadet Model 7235,4WD,Diesel utility tractor that has just died, while trying to drop the frontend loaded. It appears that I have lost ALL battery power to everthing as neither the ignition switch, guages, fuel pump or lights will operate. The battery is fine but no voltage is going to anywhere else. Is there a Master Fuse in-line on this model of tractor? If so, where is it located? I have checked all of the fuses in the main fuse panel but they are all OK. The tractor was running at an idle and then just shut down. This was probable due to the loss of power to the fuel shutdown solenoid on the injector pump... Ideas????

Maybe a wonky safety cutout, such as under the seat to shut down if the operator falls off. Or a failed battery connection, such as from the negative to a ground. Do you not have the owners manual? ....

Battery connections are fine, safety switch is bypassed. The manual doesn't seem to be much help in this instance... Thanks for the reply. ....

You could try checking all the electric circuits with a meter; maybe there's another safety cutout. And you could buy a service manual, probably available from a dealer. ....

I'd start with the key switch and the wiring to / from it, with the loss of a single connection there everything you described happens.

Best of luck. ....

Thanks Murf, After tearing apart the dash board, I discovered that the switch shorted out between the Ignition and the Glow plug and it took the fusable link out as well. I have ordered a new key switch and a fusable link and have repaired the (2) wires that melted down. Hopfully this will clear the problems... Thanks for the heads-up... ....
