I recent bought a 2002 Jinma JM-284 and would like to start changing all the fluids and filters, from reading this forum I'm pretty sure about the fluids but where can I get replacement filters, we no longer have a local dealer. Should I just order online or are they pretty standard? Thanks for any help.

Depends upon which engine. Plus - sometimes two otherwise identical tractors often have different filters. Probably a factor of which filter supplier paid the biggest bribe at the time your particular tractor was rolling through the assembly line. Best bet is to give us what numbers you can read off the installed filters - or at least what data you can read off the engine data plate - and we should be able to come up with some cross-overs for you.

And if they're not easily available and you plan to keep the tractor, another option is to replace the filter housing with one for which replacement elements are low-cost and waiting on the shelf. ....
