Have 5 yr old ck-30 HST that has had the injector pump replaced, ignition replaced, loader recalled and repaired and now I just had to replace the oil cooler that has leaked since new. Since replacing I am having problems with engine overheating under a load such as rough cut mowing or discing. Has anyone else had problems since replacing with redesigned oil cooler?

Is the oil cooler redesigned by Kioti or aftermarket? Are you sure it was installed correctly? Did you check to be sure it was not blocked before installing? Does the cooler seem to be even temp across it, no cool spots? ....

Cooler was a retool by Kioti to replace defective original model cooler. Was installed as per directions with all supplied parts. Cooler appears to be stronger built than original but does not have as much cooling area. Cooler is in behind battery and has no real air flow. Entire area in the cooler / battery compartment was cleaned of oil that had leaked from original cooler and all air flow holes are open. No trash. Entire cooler gets extremewly hot and the moment you put water on it the temp drop at a sudden rate.
Have never had a heating problem before this change in parts except when radiator screen might get clogged while mowing. Has never been run over hot.Have always stopped and cooled if any rise in temp and radiator screens cleaned thouroughly. Have also checked radiator for increased pressure in case of head gasket leak and all is ok. ....

It sounds like there is a problem with their design or their instructions. I don't know what that area looks like but could you install a small 12 volt fan to move air over the coil? But first thing I would do is reach out to Kioti. ....
