My Kioti KB2375 developed a Hydraulic fluid leak. It was leaking from the valve that controls the boom lift. I took the handle off and removed the top plate and found that the seal consisted of a flat plastic washer. I replaced this washer with a rubber o-ring and while I had the panel open, I also replaced the seals on all other vlaves too - because they were leaking a small amount of fluid. When I got everything back together, I discovered the boom would not lift. Nothing. All the other functions worked fine. I have taken it apart and checked that everything went back ok and all looked OK. Does anyone have any idea of what I should try next. I feel it is something minor because it was working fine until I took it apart except for the leak.

Thanks for any ideas - melvin.

I'd go back to the flat washers. If there's enough hours on it that you want new ones not available from a hydraulics supplier, order from a dealer. ....

Are you sure the "O" rings did not limit the travel of that spool? Am no valve mechanic but would guess you could have had a seal to go bad at same time inside the valve letting the fluid leak internally. ....

Actually I did go back to the flat washers and the problem with no boom lift remained. It seems to be something with the flow - like an air-lock maybe - but can not find anything that suggests there is any way of bleeding the system. I guess I will call the dealer and if I need to, take it to them to see what they can do.
Thanks ....

I thought the same and had already put back the original flat seal and tried it that way. The leak was back and the boom still would not lift. So It does not seem the O-ring had anything to do with it. The way this spool works is - when it is down, the boom lowers and this function works. When the spool is up, that is when the boom should lift, but does not.

Thanks - I will most likely call a dealer tomorrow to see if they have any ideas and maybe take it back to them for repair. ....
