I can get a Ford 1900 for a thousand if I can get it started. She's been sitting for 8 years but ran when it was put in the barn (slashed tire). It was burning "a little" oil. The owner replaced glow plugs and topped off the tank---got white smoke and then nothing. I'm thinking fuel so I drained the tank, changed tank to filter line, change filter and loosend the lines from the injector pump to the injectors. All three show spurts of fuel. My guess is plugged injectors from bad fuel. I know they are expensive but is it difficult to replace the injectors? Is it just a matter of unscrewing the old ones and screwing in new ones or are there special tools required? It's a Shibaura LEM 853 3 cylinder. Could it also be low compression? Should I change or heat the oil?

I don't think this one has a shut off solenoid--just a manual fuel shut off. I looked in the service manual---I'll check in the parts book later to make sure. Any other ideas? ....
