Does anyone have some pros and cons of the Buhler Allied Snow Blowers? What is better the 3 blades versus the 4 blades fan? How do the Buhler models stack up against other brands?

Retcol,

I do not own one of the Allied models, nor do I have any experience with them.

The size of the fan, and the number of blades is very important.

The bigger the fan's diameter, the more velocity the exiting snow will have.....the snow will fly further.

The greater the number of fan blades, the faster the snow will be cleared from the blower......making it possible to cut through more snow in a smaller amount of time. (This is the most important issue.)

With a large diameter fan, you'll need more horsepower and torque to spin it. With more blades, you'll be moving more snow, which will also require a larger amount of power from the tractor. (Dish out the cash for the four-bladed fan.)

With a smaller fan, you'll be able to get by with a much smaller tractor. With hydro drive, you will be able to slow down enough to make use of the larger fan and more blades.

Joel ....

The four blade would be better and if you get to where they are cupped they throw it the best. ....

With all the past posts I feel you are still searching for the best answer for your job.
Let's look at the way the wind blows, is it the same way your driveway runs? If it is then drifting isn't a problem in the driveway and lighter cleaning equipment will very well work!
For the driveway to run the other way you will need the best of everything to keep up!! Drifting would definitely be a problem with this and a front blower is the best!

A loader is a year around tool no doubt but sometimes they make more work! With a hydro in in the middle range you would be at the best of speed and RPM with a blower.
The best blower I've seen is a four paddle and they were cupped with a good amount of built in features.
